Get a distance-learning Degree with ICoN!
The Marco Polo – The Italian School of Sydney has signed an educational partner agreement with ICoN – Italian Culture on the Net, a consortium of Italian Universities to deliver a three-year online Laurea in Lingua e Cultura Italiana (BA) for students residing outside Italy.
The degree is administered and issued by the University of Pisa. The Laurea is available in four “Curricula” (Majors): “Arti-Musica-Spettacolo“, “Didattico-Linguistico“, “Letterario” and “Storico-culturale“. A course summary (in Italian) is available here.
Registration for the ICoN Degree Course semester costs €690 . The fee includes access to the online platform, teaching materials, and the possibility of taking end-of-semester exams. Scholarships are offered, covering all or part of the enrolment costs.
Enrolments open in February with classes starting in mid March every year.

The Laurea in Lingua e Cultura Italiana (BA) provides a pathway for teaching Italian and Humanities in secondary schools in Australia, when coupled with a Master of Teaching/Education. Additional information on teaching pathways can be found here.
The program is delivered entirely online with examinations and final tests in web-conference taking place at the Marco Polo – The Italian School of Sydney as an appointed exam centre. Since 2001, over 360 students from over 60 countries in all continents have graduated.
