Patronato – Pension Assistance
There is special assistance available to the Italian community through the Patronato agencies. Patronati are welfare organisations recognised under Italian law and funded by INPS (Italian Social Security Authority). Services funded by the Italian Government are completely free of charge.
Our Patronato is called EPASA-ITACO. It comprises over 400 offices worldwide. We help people get social security entitlements by advocating the person’s case with INPS.
In Australia, the Department of Human Services recognises the important role of the Patronati and cooperates with them when a claimant or pensioner agrees to it. We can help people in dealing with Centrelink. This is done only with the authorisation of the person.
How can we help?
Our Patronato offers a number of important services to allow pensioners to interact confidently with INPS and Centrelink. We can help with claims related to Italian, Australian and European (French, Belgian, German and Swiss) Age Pensions, Survivor Pensions, Disability Pensions, Income Declarations (REDD), Life Certificates and Justice of the Peace services.

Mobility Home Service
If you suffer from a disability or have difficulties in travelling to one of our contact centres you can subscribe our friendly Mobility Home Service. The service entitles you to two visits at home per year by a qualified welfare officer to assist you with your pension matters, for lodging documents including Income Declarations and Life Certificates.
This service is only available to patrons residing within the Greater Sydney Metro Area and attracts a service fee as this service is not funded by the Government. Additional visits may incur additional fees to cover for incurred expenses by the travelling welfare officer.
