A ‘Cuore’ for Everyone: the gift of bilingual book for NSW Schools to celebrate the XXIV Week of the Italian Language in the World

To mark the XXIV Week of the Italian Language in the World (14-20 October 2024), Marco Polo – The Italian School of Sydney is launching a special cultural initiative for all NSW secondary schools teaching Italian.

As part of this project, students will receive an updated bilingual edition, in both Italian and English, of Edmondo De Amicis’ classic novel, Cuore. This gift reflects the school’s ongoing dedication to promoting the Italian language and aims to connect Italian and Australian cultures.

Through this initiative, Marco Polo – The Italian School of Sydney continues to promote Italian culture in Australia, helping to spread the language and traditions. Cuore teaches us timeless values, and this bilingual edition will reach even more readers, bringing new generations of Italo-Australians together through friendship and mutual understanding.

To receive a copy of the book, schools need to fill out this Book Request Form, providing the school’s name, mailing address, and the name of the teacher responsible for receiving the copies of Cuore. Each school can request up to 5 free copies.
